Eligibility

Study-At-Karelia University of Applied Sciences One-Year Fee-paying Exchange programme is designed for international students who would like to gain their unique one-year study experiences at Karelia University of Applied Sciences. The programmes are offered in the fields of International Business, Industrial Management, Information and Communication Technology. Students can apply to this programme by informing their home universities who have signed MoUs with Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Admission period

We accept applications to the programme yearly by 30 March. You must inform your interest to participate this programme to your home university teachers-in-charge before the deadline.

4. Application process

International Office sends instructions for next steps and the link to the formal online application to the nominated students by email.

Academic Learning Agreement will be signed by students, their university and Karelia University of Applied Sciences coordinators, uploaded to the Karelia University of Applied Sciences Exchange System by the end of April.

5. Next steps

Letter of Acceptance and practical information will be sent to the students after their application and Academic Learning Agreements are received and accepted by Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Tuition fee and special issues

As of 1.1.2023, Karelia University of Applied Sciences One-Year Fee-paying Exchange programme tuition fee for non-EU/EEA international students are 5000 euros/year.

Karelia University of Applied Sciences One-Year Fee-paying Exchange Programme tuition fee refund is under Karelia’s updated policies concerning special tuition fee issues.

Learning Outcomes

Students gain their unique one-year exchange experiences with Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Please note that if during and after the programme, if the students accumulate 30 ECTS with average minimum academic performance 2 and their English proficiency is 6.0 IELTS or equivalence, they can apply to Karelia University of Applied Sciences International Degree Programme (if they would wish to continue to study the chosen International Degree Programme at Karelia University of Applied Sciences).
